Federated eTranslation TermBank Network (FedTerm)
This project aims at developing federated terminology collections (nodes), where users can manage and share their terminology with other users, and search for terms in private and publicly available terminology collections.
The project will develop a network that allows organisations and institutions in EU to locally deploy individual eTranslation TermBank federated nodes, which will be linked to the central federated node (the eTranslation TermBank) and regularly synchronise terminology changes. The project will cover all EU official languages as well as Norwegian and Icelandic, focusing in the partner languages (Latvian, Danish, Icelandic, Estonian, Lithuanian, Slovenian, German, and Swedish).
An open Terminology Management Toolkit will be made available to EU Member States and CEF affiliated countries for deployment of their local terminological platforms and for the use of selected cloud solutions. The project will help streamlining and standardising the terminology curation and sharing practices throughout Europe, thereby lowering costs and efforts required when sharing terminological data.
